Reading of:
“The accessible and narrative object is what it is we become.
the rocks end up in our belly and makes me unmovable.
“you are my baby” said the baby.
everything we were before now we get to be.”
Playing with taken language, from algorithmic text to found text, and reusing it inside of her own writings, Carisa Mitchell looks to tell a story which takes you someplace but that place is somewhere you will have to figure out on your own; hermeneutics is on display. These writing are created with a sense of censorship while allowing a projection from the outside; this projection is a conversation.
This reading performance is a poem that wonders how words build form inside our stories and hide our indignity and looks at the interpretation of what is tangible in this ambiguous content.

Check out my one hour show, How are we the only ones who ended up here? Next week I may go to Disneyland, but until then I will just daydream, on the Après Midi Person Radio.
This radio show is “a proposition by Omnigroup for Gay Couple. Après Midi Person Radio is a temporary online community radio broadcasting from Geneva. Gay Couple is a group of artists based in Geneva, applying collective forms of writing and narrative as a process for producing ideas, organising exhibitions and other sorts of relationships.”

If you didn’t already know, a few weeks ago we, as artists of the show, made a public statement to share the show’s prize money in order to talk about artist wages and free labor. Our show, Proxy Paradise, ends tomorrow but tonight we continue our conversation regarding this subject with Patricio Gil Flood, so stop by.

The Red-Cross HEAD – Genève Art Prize awarded to the Collectif MNGH
October 19th, 2017
You’re invited to the 3rd edition of the Red Cross Award on Thursday, November 2nd, 2017 at Espace Hippomène (HEAD) in Geneva, Switzerland.
You are invited because my classmates and I have been chosen as finalists for the Red Cross award for our work “Lost and Found.” Lost and Found was a group effort with Maison de Quartier, Geneva University of Art and Design and the Ariana Museum, which was exhibited at the Ariana Museum in June 2016 (read more about it here).
If you would like to come out to support us, you are welcome to attend the award ceremony.
Just RSVP by October 19th by emailing info@croix-rouge-ge.ch
I hope to see you there!
Always,
C
