Reading of:
“The accessible and narrative object is what it is we become.
the rocks end up in our belly and makes me unmovable.
“you are my baby” said the baby.
everything we were before now we get to be.”
Playing with taken language, from algorithmic text to found text, and reusing it inside of her own writings, Carisa Mitchell looks to tell a story which takes you someplace but that place is somewhere you will have to figure out on your own; hermeneutics is on display. These writing are created with a sense of censorship while allowing a projection from the outside; this projection is a conversation.
This reading performance is a poem that wonders how words build form inside our stories and hide our indignity and looks at the interpretation of what is tangible in this ambiguous content.
