False Friends

Hello dear friends,

If you are around, please join me on Thursday, February 9th, for the opening of False Friends at Espace Contact, Place Pury 1a, in Neuchâtel, Switzerland.

The new works in this show are a play on the meaning of duality; here, I speak of multiple spaces and the understandings that arrive within some tricky implications.

Also, this show is the inauguration of Espace Contact. With that, a big thank you to Ahmad Motalaei and Caroline Bourrit for the invite. And a second big thank you to Paolo Baggi for writing the show’s statement.

Please stay in touch as I have some announcements for a show in Chicago this March 2023.

Much love,
C.

the tension decoded these notions
the real is at the point
masking our fears as the form has no where to go

In an investigation of language as the visual and a landscape, words inside their meanings and interpretation due to placement, here we look at ourselves in half-concealing stories. The words become a place where fiction and reality can meet inside a loop which feels like it can’t be broken.
